spring flowers for a fun + relaxed vibe

VENUE

100 Barrington, Brixton, London

the brief

The couple wanted the flowers to echo the fun and relaxed vibe of their day with flowers that encompassed the abundance of spring, but that also contrasted well with the bare brickwork and industrial look of the venue.

the palette

An imaginative take on a spring palette, predominantly pastel shades with pops of bright colour.

the flowers

The bride wanted a sculptural bouquet with unexpected textures and a cascading element. She also knew she wanted to incorporate orchids, the national flower of Singapore, as a nod to her heritage and upbringing. The bridal bouquet was super fragrant as it included lilac, hyacinth, sweet peas and alliums, alongside anthurium, reflexed roses, ranunculus and a cymbidium orchid. The cascading element was achieved by threading hyacinths onto bear grass.

the decor

We also provided some fun asymmetric plinth arrangements as a focal point for the ceremony, made with anthuriums, reflexed roses, ranunculus, orchids, gerberas, Icelandic poppies, tulips, sweet peas and dyed asparagus fern. The arrangements were repurposed for the bar area at the reception later in the day.
